Bum.mer.

I didn't get a single trick-or-treater tonight. Not that I've had a great number of trick-or-treaters in the past, but I have had them. Last year I was at The Boy I Currently Like's house, and he had trick-or-treaters (he lives in much more single-family-home kind of neighborhood than I do). A couple of years ago, I had probably a dozen.

But not a single one this year. And I had a good amount of candy, too. I'm sad and shit.

We didn't get any treaters either. Probably had something to do with us not having a light on outside and no pumpkins and things of that nature. Just as well...I ate all the candy before dark anyway.

more candy for you? or is that a bad thing? we ended up going to the Jon Stewart rally and missed all the trick or treat festivities. of course, we missed most of the rally too, because the Metro people way underestimated demand, but at least we were there and had a good excuse for not handing out candy.

I can't control the light between the front doors out here, so I didn't have a light on outside, either. I had orange fairy lights along the steps and on the plant at the bottom of the steps, and lights on inside. Didn't help though.

Totes jealous of you going to the rally. I'm bummed about not getting trick-or-treaters. Not so bummed about having an abundance of candy. Snickers in the freezer, Twix and Reese's in the fridge and Starburst in the cupboard. All out of sight ... but not too far out of mind.

They kept coming from about 7 to 9:30 when I was trying to watch the Saints Steelers game....I want a new rule. No trick or treating on Saturday, Sunday or Monday Nights anymore...

i suppose you could bring your candy to your workplace if you didn't want it staring you in the face.
